Redeemed Time—Part 1

The Sacredness of Being Refined

There are seasons in life where everything is stripped away.

Not all at once—but layer by layer.

Relationships that once felt certain begin to shift. Positions once held no longer remain. Doors close. And what follows is not just a perception of loss—it is loss.

Loss of loved ones whose absence reshapes everything.
Loss of friendships with those you once ran closely with.

Loss of things built through years of faithfulness, sacrifice, and personal investment—only to watch them fall away.
Loss of familiarity, of stability, of what once felt secure.

There are seasons where silence is not imagined—it is real.

Where your voice is buried under grief.
Where what once flowed freely feels distant, restrained—even silenced.

There are moments when both physical and spiritual battles intensify, pressing in from every side.

This is not figurative.
It is lived.

And yet—God is present in it.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18

He is Not distant. Not absent. Not unaware.

He Is Present.

Even here. In a desolate place.

Because what feels like everything is lost and falling apart, is often the beginning of something being set in order.

The refining process is not easy, nor is it gentle, but it is necessary. There are things God allows—not to harm, but to purify you. To remove what cannot go with you into the next place He is leading you.

What feels like loss is often divine separation. What feels like delay is often precise preparation.

It is a call to go low.

To lay everything at His feet.
To release control.

To trust Him in ways that go beyond understanding.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” — Proverbs 3:5–6

To lean not on your own understanding is to remain surrendered—even when nothing around you feels stable.

Yes, it hurts.

But His grace is sufficient.

“My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” — 2 Corinthians 12:9

And it is in this place—the lowest place—that something sacred is formed.

Not performance.
Not striving.
But surrender.

Because the testing of your faith is not proven in ease.

It is revealed in what you do when everything has been taken—and you still choose to trust. To rest. To lay at His feet.

To know, "that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.— Philippians1:6

It's in the surrender where you learn how to embrace the hidden place.

The place where you look up and see Him and only Him, face to face.

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.— James 1:2-4

What many would call loss…

He calls preparation.

After you have suffered a little while, He will restore you and make you strong, firm, and steadfast.” — 1 Peter 5:10

And though it may not make sense in the moment, this is not the end of the story.

It is the beginning of refinement.
