Then, with broken hearts, the Israelites cried out for help, and the Lord sent a prophet to guide them.
Judges 6
Vs 7 - When they cried out to the Lord because of Midian, 8 the Lord sent a prophetto the Israelites. He said, “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: I brought you up out of slavery in Egypt. 9 I rescued you from the Egyptians and from all who oppressed you. I drove out your enemies and gave you, their land. 10 I told you, ‘I am the Lord your God. You must not worship the gods of the Amorites; in whose land you now live.’ But you have not listened to me.”
The Meaning Behind the Term "Amorite"
The term "Amorite" derives from the words "mountain people" and "renowned", suggesting that the Amorite spirit is characterized by self-exaltation. The Hebrew word for Amorite, which is "Amar", means "to utter" or "to say", indicating that those with Amorite spirits crave attention and recognition. They are individuals who seek fame, human glory, and greatness, with a thirst for power and domination. The Amorite spirit's desire is to get you to bow. Throughout history, almost all dictators can be classified as Amorites.
The Besieged City: A Lingering Spirit
Three years after the Plan-Demic, many folks are fed up with the current climate. Unfortunately, the same spirit still taunts us, as countless individuals suffer from a lack of knowledge. They remain silent, hidden, and too afraid to act against the latest form of "Midianites” or "Amorite Spirits" that have infiltrated our families, schools, cities, towns, churches, and our government.
When Jesus spoke of moving mountains, he said, Matthew 17:20-21 "…I promise you, if you have faith inside of you no bigger than a size of a small mustard seed you can say to this mountain, 'Move away from here and go over there, ' and you will see it move!' (A mountain can be a symbol of a kingdom) There is nothing you couldn't do! The Aramaic can be translated "Nothing is higher or stronger than you. 20 But this kind does not go out except by fasting and prayer” (TPT).
This means freeing ourselves of the spiritual wickedness that lurks in high places. Our faith should center on Him and his word of truth, empowering us to demolish the principalities and powers that obstruct the establishment of God's Kingdom here on Earth, just as it is in heaven.
Ephesians 6:12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark word, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places (NLT).
Hence the 300!
