This is a gathering of people who are:

We are learning how to:

  • Walk in true koinonia (authentic fellowship)

  • Carry the light of Christ beyond a church setting

  • Bring the Kingdom of Heaven to earth in practical ways

  • Live transformed lives that impact others

This is not about performance or religion.


This is about transformation, maturity, and walking closely with God.

We don’t rush the process—because what God builds in you will sustain what He calls you to.

About Us ✨

Cynthia Mergen is the founder of Carbon Lights, a growing Bible study and gathering rooted in intimacy with God, spiritual formation, and authentic community.

Her journey has been marked by seasons of refinement, healing, and surrender—where God faithfully met her in the hidden places and transformed pain into purpose. What was once a personal process has now become a public invitation.

Through Carbon Lights, Cynthia creates space for others to encounter God deeply, grow in truth, and walk in the light alongside a community committed to living out their faith beyond the walls of the church.

Her heart is to see people restored, equipped, and activated—to carry what God has placed within them into the world.

She is deeply grateful to walk out this calling with the support of her husband, Tom, and niece, who have been a constant source of strength and encouragement.
